During his career of 25 years in international management and management consulting David developed a deep interest in the impact of culture on the ‘real world’ of business and has since pursued that through academic study. He has worked on every continent, bar South America, and has lived in South Africa, Kuwait and France.
Since 2004 David has worked with a number of companies in the airline and international transport industries and has advised financial analysts and deal-makers focusing on those industries.
He has developed his interest in intercultural relations through academic study and has conducted research into the impact of culture on management decision-making processes and leadership styles and their relationship with corporate and professionalcultures.
Experiences:
Global leadership of the sales and marketing effort of the air cargo division of British Airways plc – 1980’s.
Embedded in the management team of an Arab airline for eighteen months, leading a major reconstruction programme of management support and training – 1990’s.
Director of a specialist aviation consultancy, managing client relationships and leading projects in Africa, the Middle East and South Asia over a 4 year period. 1990’s.
Board-level internal consulting experience with British Airways plc, working on strategic cost reduction, marketing and M&A projects – 1990’s
P&L-accountable management and internal consulting experience with DHL throughout Europe, including as a Director of DHL France – up to 2004.
